hangry
Adj. Being simultaneously hungry and angry. Often the latter because of the former. Having one's hunger extended, unnecessarily so as to create anger.
Thank you, Urban Dictionary! I most certainly become hangry when I haven't eaten for half a day. With my appetite, that doesn't happen often, and when it does, look out. Little can disguise the glare in my eyes.
But sometimes hunger comes in a more subtle form-You're not angry, you're merely cranky, or desperate. We came up with a few new ones while waiting impatiently for our donkatsu at the Mitsuwa food court (our favorite spot for a quick lunch time bite):
- Hired: Hungry and Tired
- Fired: Full and Tired
- Fappy: Full and Happy!
- Hanky/Crungry: Hungry and Cranky
- Fleepy: Full and Sleepy
Now your turn! OK, we acknowledge this is borderline crazy. But you'd be surprised at what you think about when all you can think about is how soon you can shovel food into your belly.
