Some time between the Malbec and the late night food truck, I realized that a deadline I had assumed was two weeks away is in fact this Friday. Consider me cornered and caged like this cat for the next week. But first, farmer's market!

These photos are a glimpse of the guesthouse we stayed at in Chiang Mai, Thailand. We befriended the owner over late night leftovers, learning about her first foray into Western culture and organic food at UC Berkeley, her rapid ascent to top travel destination, her challenges in returning to the States. Those Thai and California influences emerged in her food. Think locally made yogurt, homemade granola, juices squeezed from Asian fruits, and pad thai. The highlight was the staff - all young adults from local, marginalized tribes.
